The scholarship can be provided for two persons. The probability of getting scholarship by Mr. X is 1/7 and getting by Mr. Y is 1/5. What is the probability that;

i. both of them will get scholarship.                                                                                                                                  ii. Only one of them will get scholarship.                                                                                                                          iii. None of them will get scholarship.

  1. What is sampling. Explain the different types of non probability sampling.
  2. a) Describe the different types of tourist. 18. Read the case situation given below and answer the questions that follow:        10

The following data represent the bounced check fee (in dollar) for a sample of 23 banks for direct deposit customers who maintain a $100 balance and the monthly service fee (in dollar) for direct deposit customers if their account falls below the minimum required balance of $1500 for a sample of 26 banks.

  2. b.What similarities and differences are there in the distribution for the bounced check fee and the monthly service?
  3. Below are given the annual production of sugar(in thousand tons) of factory.
